Thai Police Discover Beach Road Foreigners Prostitutes

Last week, foreign women suspected of being prostitutes were loitering on Beach Road. Officers immediately swooped down and arrested 7 young women from Uzbekistan who, indeed, were loitering and chatting up passing men. At the police station, the women all produced documents showing they had entered the country legally on tourist visas. The police advised the foreigners that working was not allowed on tourist visas but, as there was no actual proof they were prostitutes, the ladies of the night were released with only a warning. One young lady immediately returned to her chosen spot and began talking in earnest with a Middle Eastern tourist; another said she had heard that Pattaya streets were paved with gold but she had found this generalization to be overstated.

Found Illegal Gambling Online Euro 2012 in Pattaya Thailand

The law enforcement team arrested Mr. Anthony James Macnolly is 57 year old British citizen and Mrs. Thitima Kaewheaung is 29 year old at 12 Wat Boonsamphan road, Banglamung, Pattaya. The police had had detected that illegal online Euro 2012 football gambling was taking place at the restaurant. The police sent an undercover agent to the restaurant. The spy arrived and found the the online gambling was in full swing. An arrest was made moments later. Found evidence was 2,000 baht changing hands in during the match between Portugal and Holland at 18 June, 2012 in price of 2,000 baht. After interrogating Mr. Anthony James Macnolly confessed that he had opened the restaurant and had hosted online football gambling for foreign customers for more than 10 years.

HADR at U-tapao Military Airport is Independent of NASA

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mr. Thani Thongpakdi insisted that the establishment of the Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) center at U-tapao military airport is independent of NASA. The US Defense Department had proposed to Thailand to establish the HADR center at U-tapao, the project which was also favored by Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva. the then Prime Minister. Mr. Thani claimed the project and the NASA’s mission to study the formation of clouds in Thailand are operated independently, despite both having been initiated by the US. The Spokesperson added later that it was Thailand’s decision, without the American influence, to run the HADR, citing that it would do more good than harm to many nations in this region. Tourism Promotion and Logistics Development in Eastern Thailand

The Ministry of Transport has been assigned to undertake a feasibility study for the full operations of the U-Tapao-Rayong-Pattaya International Airport on a commercial basis. The decision was made by the Regional Joint Public/Private Sector Consultative Committee, during its meeting on 18 June 2012, as part of the fifth mobile Cabinet meeting in Pattaya, Chon Buri, chaired by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra. At the meeting, the Ministry of Transport was entrusted with studying the construction of a high-speed train system in eastern Thailand, and it was also asked to complete working out the terms of reference for the project by 2013. The Ministry was also assigned to conduct a feasibility study on the expansion of traffic lanes for Highway 36 and Highway 317. Results of the study will be submitted to the Cabinet for consideration in the next three weeks. Laem Chabang Port in Chon Buri to Be Expanded in 5 Years

The Laem Chabang Port in Chon Buri province has proposed the third phase of its logistics development to facilitate goods transport and cope with the growth of Thailand’s eastern seaboard. Transport Minister Jarupong Ruangsuwan presented a briefing on logistics development at Laem Chabang to Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, who visited the port as part of the fifth mobile Cabinet meeting in Pattaya on 18-19 June 2012. He said that the third phase would be completed in the next five years, and when completed, the project would increase the port’s capacity of accommodating 18.8 million freight containers annually in 20 years’ time. According to the Transport Minister, the construction of a major road linking the Laem Chabang Port with the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate in Rayong is also being planned, together with the building of a double-track railway from Laem Chabang to Chachoengsao province. 21 Foreigners Arrested in Pattaya

The Chonburi Immigration in Jomtien arrested 21 foreigners, some accused of prostitution, some with expired visas and others with no entry stamp in passport suggesting they entered Thailand illegally. A further 9 Liberian Nationals were arrested and found to have a variety of visa issues. Some were on expired visas and others appeared to have entered Thailand illegally.

Police Arrested Angry Wife Stabbing Husband in Pattaya Thailand

Police arrested Khun Noodang age 46 is accused of stabbing her Husband, Khun Suwan is 49 year old in the left chest area. He was rushed to the the Pattaya Memorial Hospital in a critical condition but later died. Khun Wichien is 51year old is the brother of the suspect who revealed how the pair had many problems relating to allegations of infidelity. It is thought a combination of relationship issues led to the serious confrontation which led to Khun Wichien’s death. Police have charged the wife with murder and she will be held on remand pending a Court appearance.

Police Arrested American Pedophile Teacher

Center of Child and Women Protection Unit together with Chonburi police arrested Mr. Gregory Mill is 48 year old from United state working as a language teacher at an international school in Rayong. The mother of a boy name's Joe is 10 year old said her son had disappeared from home and assumed that he might be with the foreign teacher. The police followed-up the case and arrested Mr. Gregory Mill at his house where they found tissue paper with semen stains and obscene pictures of the teacher and the boys.
